I have some old Montgomery dogless traps that are still in great shape and will catch critters, the problem is it's hard keeping them set because the old pan and jaw edge don't meet up very well anymore. If I file the pan notch down anymore it won't set. Anyone know how to modify them with a newer Bridger dogless pan? Or any other suggestions. Thanks

Might try the Vic/monty pans, you can get them straight from Victor. Or from John Graham, the pans on his Montana #3s are very close.

Common sense catches alot of fur..

Can you build it up with weld and file it again?

Just bend the cross towards the the trap to where it just barely clears the jaw and there you have it.

I thought I read on here in the "wolf creek dogless reviews" thread that the new wolf creek dogless were very similar to the Montgomery. Might have good luck trying those pans.
