If you add vodka to your base meat to kill the mold how can you get rid of the vodka smell?

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

It will evaporate on it's own once you bait a hole with it.

I have a jar that I ground 1 qt of February harvested mink glands in vodka. Every time I catch a mink I throw the glands in the jar. I have had this jar for a few yrs now. I use the mink glands in otter and bobcat lures that I make. It's actually the same lure but it's highly effective on bobcat and otter especially. But will pick up fox, coyote and I've caught mink with it also in the weirdest places.. when I dip the lure stick in the jar and swirl it around, I can pull it out and within seconds I can't smell the vodka anymore.

Yes... I do smell the lure stick everytime.. it smells of success and excellence

I've got both castor and mink glands in vodka. If you take a sip you can't even taste the glands so I don't worry about the vodka smell unless I am driving. Lol on a serious note this is a method that has been used for years. The vodka evaporets as fast as you pour it. The alcohol smell anyway....

Wish I had more time to trap....

I have used vodka for tincturing some plant and glands forover 50 years and never have had any vodka odor linger any length of time nor compromise the lure's effectiveness if it was used when the odor was still noticeible

the vodka will give your base smell more lift! The vodka smell is similar as ammonia in urine exposer to the air evaporates it very fast
