gibb trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,598 Timmins Ontario	No, the main usage for the darker skins is ruffs on parkas, you always start of the catalogue with the clearer pale skins first. The more distinct the oval pattern the better the price. You go from ex-pale to pale to off and the last ones in each size are the dark's.

watarrat trapper Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 138 Lake Iliamna Ak	This fellow is pretty dark,,our 1st wolverine this year, mostly the pic is of my bearicaid that we've probably nabbed 100 critters at, we have an exhaustible market here with the fishing lodges so any color is fine!

yukon254 trapper Y Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 4,421 Yukon	Color is definitely hereditary. One fall a bowhunter wounded one of the nicest wolverines I've ever seen on a moose kill not far from my cabin. Didnt know it at the time, but it was obviously a big female. When trapping season started I checked the old kill site out and found wolverine tracks everywhere. I thought maybe the wolverine the hunter had wounded had somehow survived, and was hanging around the kill healing up. I had a client at the time so we made a few sets. We caught two yearlings. Their mother had obviously been the one the hunter wounded. The kits were coloured identically. Here is one of them. Really nice wr it looks silky, long hair and really nice dark contrast and distinct diamond. How dark are the head and shoulders? you can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out.
