Read on here about the trap setters made by DavidfSheldonJr@gmail.com and mine came yesterday for the MB650. Did not think I needed any when I was younger, but maybe my left thumb would not be so stiff from getting the joint smacked in a 4 coil 1.75 years ago, or is it just age related. But I can tell you what a top notch guy and great product, does what he says it will, and this setter should work on my 4 coil #2 traps as well.

Makes setting MJs a breeze with the no loose jaw setting the pan is no problem and all while on a guys knees making a set!
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I think I am pretty young (32) and I got a pair this past season with intent to use them for tuning traps, after the 1st day of salmming in 20 sets my hands were killing me, so I started using them setters even for setting traps on the trap line and I never looked back! Just a great tool, I have had peopel tell me they think the setters will slow them down, I actually believe they sped me up!
Great product, great tool, I will have a back up set this season just in case, cant' imagine trapping without them now!

One hand trap setters for any trap you want. You dont have to be older to use them. It saves your hands and you set more traps.... If Dave doesnt have a trap setter for trap you want, he will MAKE a setters for that trap. They arent expensive either...be good to your hands and order a set of trap setters from Dave. I have three differant sets and have one for 1 1/2 coilsprings with music wire springs, works great. I can set trap partially byhand but then cant push dog down to connect to pan and the One Handed Trap Setter cured that. Thanks Dave

I’m 36, and using my setters from dave for a second season, I just re-did my lanyards on mine, they stay clipped to my belt loop anytime I’m on my line. Setting, adjustments, removal of catches... you name it.... they’re with me. And if you shoot dave a p.m. he’ll get right back to you, he’s a great guy to deal with

Posted on another thread about this. Just a few days after having my right shoulder re-attached and with just my hand sticking out of a full wrap sling, my setters arrived. Well of course I had to take them out to my shop where a pile of new 650's were sitting and noooo problem with one hand on a crushed wing. Amazing. They will always be on my belt now. Thanks Dave.
