So the other day I got my first Bridger trap in the mail (#1.65). I was comparing the trap with my Dukes and the Bridger was so much easier to set and more high quality. Not to bash Duke but I guess you get what you pay for. I think I'm going to get more Bridger traps this year and the next.

Proofs in the critters in the back of the truck. After using both extensively, I still have dukes and sold all my bridgers. Looks mean nothing in trapping.

The 1.65 wasn't a horrible trap, though. I'd still take a duke 1.75 over that trap though.

I have a few of their 1.65s. I like the duke 1.5 way more than the bridger, but when it comes to big traps ill take a bridger over a duke any day.imo the bridger #3 dogless is an awesome yote trap. Probably my favorite next to the 650 and extreme.

Have Duke 1.5, really great coon trap. Try some Bridger 2 dogless, really like that trap as a multi species trap.

I prefer the Bridger #3 dogless over the Extremes. The Extremes are really tanks, very well built. Just would rather have the Bridgers.

I like my Duke 1.5s for mink and rats. A few years back I also bought some Bridger 150 conis for rats and IMO it rocks catching muskrats in runs. So both brands have their use. The 150s are good for land trail sets for mink too....that extra 1/2 inch in width helps it look natural I think.

Have duke and bridger #2’s. Buying more bridger traps not dukes. Caught a coyote in each and both were nice catches and holds but as mentioned above the bridgers are a better built trap and still very reasonably priced . The only thing I like about the duke over the bridger is the jaws lay nice and flat, the loose jaw on the bridger stays up a bit.

I run a water long line for several yrs before I got married, I used duke 1.5 only for about 5 years cause they was cheap, they was a good rat coon and mink trap also held the occasional fox cat or yote or otter but I did loose a few yotes to weak components and st least 1 big coon who took trap do to a BROKE J hook, bought a few dozen bridger 1.5s tawords the end of my long lining career i dont need 2 or 300 traps know so ill be running bridgers there stout and tough and if thry dont hold it will not be do to constrution issues, i like the specials, file off the night latch bump add swivel and I don't like the small pans I weld on a 1.75 pan it adds a great through like the old number 2s there a good heavy rat and mink drowner with a deep catch and positive lock up more like a 1.75 than a 1.5 to me, I won't knock dukes though they've held me a lot of fur and helped me stay in the black for several seasons,I also use to run duke 4 coiled 1.75s for land trapping sure dint hurt as bad getting a duke stolen compared to a nice 550 or 650 but if I'm not running lots of traps I like a little more quality I'll take the bridgers know!

Duke makes an awesome 1-1/2 coil.

Bridger makes an awesome #2, and #3 dogless coil.

Duke for the water trapping, Bridger for all the land trapping. Thank me later...

coyotes I have caught in #2 dukes and #3 bridgers. The dukes I use in more high traffic areas so if I loose one it doesn't hurt as bad. I have tried #3 dukes and have much luck with them. Personal opinion I didn't like how they are made. My Dukes did need more work in preparation then the bridger traps do. IMO
