Here in Ky we are averaging 2-3 a day of idiot kids calling in threats. Some are posting on social media. They have arrested a bunch. BUT IF THEY WANT TO STOP IT ARREST THE PARENTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
All it would take is throw mom and or dad in jail one time and it would end. If it got out that the parents had to bear some responsibility of the actions little johnny or Susie wouldn't be so fast to pull a prank.

Now a days parents or teachers aren’t allowed to properly discipline kids, i don’t think it would be fair to incarcerate parents for something the child has done if their not even allowed to knock some sense into them. I’m only 39 and i remember getting many a butt whippins in school and at home. Ironically i’ve never been convicted or even charged with a single crime.

We simply live in a world of good and evil,you are one or the other.You either live life right,know what is right and wrong and choose the right path or be corrupt,lie,cheat, steal and pay the consequences.Kids are greatly influenced by those around them.Those kids spend more time with teachers,coaches and classmates than they do with parents generally when they get home at 5 or 6 and you see them for 3 or 4 hours in the evenings.

Ask yourself why would so many kids do that then and think it was OK and what can we learn from this in the end?

The media dwells on the act too much and not the punishment. I would like to see the punishment go more public. If it's life in prison follow the guy periodically so other wannabes would get an idea of how much fun life in prison really is. Or, if it's death like this Florida shooter should get, have it on live TV to wake up copycats to the consequences. Some will say that's being barbaric and by doing that you're no better than the shooter, which is a very stupid thing to say. Of course, you're better than the shooter, you didn't kill 17 innocent people.
Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

I have a brother that has routinely gotten into trouble with the law. We were raised in the same home with two parents who loved us and disciplined us routinely. We were brought up going to church and taught the value of hard work and responsibility. My folks raised us to make quality decisions. My brother has not made quality decisions. To say that parents should be disciplined for the decisions their children make is a ludicrous argument! Obviously each situation is different but it’s these types of hasty generalizations that simply pit people against each other.
Just my 2 cents Until the child is eighteen parents should be held accountable. The parents should hold themselves accountable first and foremost, the rest of society can get in line behind. Many of us parents have proudly raised great offspring with that method. It works. Quit with the excuses. Osky

Personally, I don't think there is a solution. Some say we need to instill a little fear and make them think a little bit before acting out. IDK, You can't play mind games with an unarmed opponent!
