Just pull off the fat or flesh the pieces of fat. Leave the saddle. My fox have very little fat on them.

Red fox are a lot thinner skinned than coyote and Raccoon. Dont get too aggressive or you could tear the pelt.

Trim the ear butts so they dry.Be careful turning them, the belly skin is thin especially on later caught fox.Unless they are very fatty there is little fleshing required.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Fleshing- I place on stretcher board, use a knife & trim meat from front leg pits and trim or pull excess fat from hide. Then pin to board.
Sometimes on flanks, meat will need removed from pelt.

Got them fleshed yesterday and flipped them this morning getting ready to reboard them. Taking the ear cartilage out was really the only chore still learning.
Thanks Again for all the help

I can't see the flesh job. Looks good so far. Nice.

After you board them, re-comb them. Then comb hair from rump to ears. Comb 'em out. Make 'em look pretty.

They sure look a mess when taken out of the freezer...

After flesh'n & drying...they look better...

Just curious, what kind of price do you expect for the reds in your area.

Spending time with kids outdoors will built memories that last a lifetime.

I really have no idea what to expect. This will be my first year dealing with nafa and I'm going to send them in with a few coyote. Last year my friend sold some green to Groeney and I think he got 5 bucks a hide.
