Ok, I have or had, most of the big name top o the line fox/yote lures. But I also like to try lesser known diamonds in the rough once in a while. Instead of perusing feebay for oddballs, what little talked about lure has surprised you?

Spent deep fry oil from my buddy’s fish and chips shop seems to work as good as most other lure for me. For coyotes anyway Since I get it free by the 50 gallon load, the price is certainly right.

The most productive dirt hole bait I have used is one I make for myself with fox meat
For the most part I use flat sets with gland and curiosity lures. But I've tried many baits commercial ones and just does not work as well. 2nd best has been just pieces of rabbit, mink and wood chuck
Now for coons and opossum and skunks, they all work
Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!
If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

Marak's High Quality Lures (Formerly marketed under the Sheda's name) are very good. The #1 Red Fox lure and #1 Fox and Coyote bait is an aewsome combination. If you can find them at conventions they typically run great deals on their stuff there. https://www.funketraptags.com/high-quality~ADC~

One old time lure I really miss is the O.L.Butcher line.He had a winter lure for coyotes that was really thick and put it out there when the temps dropped.Apparently when he died so did his line.

Dobbins’ Backbreaker is a well known lure, but I thought it was just for beaver. Someone on here a few years ago told me how well it works on dogs and I have found it works great in canine sets. So I guess it’s not well known for that....at least i never knew.
