I pound in the conduit a 40" long one to the water surface then run the rebar thru the cable swivel then into the conduit locking it all together my first attempt was over killed dramatically my conduit was 5' long and my rebar was 3' long I have down sized dramatically now my conduit is 30-24" long and rebar is 12-16" the main objective is to keep them in the water a beaver can't pump a vertical pipe if its swimming they will get the #9 wire tangled in the cable and drown quickly! I found this system by complete accident. My plans were to just hold them in water but they seam to take care of themselves trying to escape. Aix if this system interests you talk with electrical contractors for there old replaced heavy wall galvanized conduit. It works well for numerous things. I might add the hollow shaft has tremendous suction in mud. If you want I can get a close up of the things needed.Beavers are plum dumb when it comes to cables here! lol I don't even try to camo mine any more

I place them in crawl outs, or any kind of paths they take in all honesty its more or less a blind trail set.If I camo them at all its a bushy weed wedged in between the 9 wire and rebar but I have found its not needed
