I'd say you're fair Barnes. I'm pretty much dead central, it's not junk fur, but nothing special either. I dang sure won't be quitting my day job to become a professional I can tell you that lol

If you want small town life and good fur stay north of Cameron, closer you get to KC higher the land and housing gets. Cameron seems to always be looking for nurses, hear their adds on the local radio station. If you apply at a diesel repair shop that's located between Cameron and Hamilton on 36 HWY, shoot me a pm and I'll put you in contact with a person, who just retired from there. Bethany might be another area to look at, which is north of Cameron on 35. Northern Harrison Co. Eastern Worth Co. or Western Mercer Co, would put you in good fur country and driving distance to Bethany if found work there.

BBarnes, I'd have to agree with that, since my oldest son was down at Rolla going to school and still trapping. He'd bring up his coons to work up during Christmas break , wasn't hard to tell the difference between his pile and mine.

South half is loaded with Gov land, North half is mostly private. Stay close to the Mo/Kan border and trap both.

Well I know for a fact that Salem needs nurses at the hospital, and there is a big John Deere company in Rolla, close to your son. Just think about it lol. Not a big town, cheap living, nice country side, don't have to really fight for land to trap.

Where would a guy find a good amount of otter and beaver in MO? Do you guys have ROW trapping?
