I had some traps for sale and a guy tried beating me down in price. His story was he was using them at bridges and they would get stolen. I asked how he knew they were going to get stolen, and if he was sure they would be stolen why would he go through the trouble and set them there?

I believe that after a thief checked a empty trap for awhile he just gave up checking.

But of coarse If the guy Is a trap thief that won't work to good. But most thieves are In It for the fur they are to lazy to actually set and tend traps.

similar to muskrats approach OUAT i uysed to gather up junk no 1 shorts, etc junk worn out traps and use for "bait".....set up big tile spaded pocket w/ junk trap, then suttle fingerhole pockets with grass draped in front to hide everything......worked real well SE corner this county, down to KS line in hillbilly clan country where family trees had not much fork to them.....kinda like giving a pet coon a shiney object to leave the other stuff alone....worked about the same on the single toothers

If you are considering yourself to be someone of influence and importance, just try ordering someone elses dog around sometime.

I act like I'm fishing. Just make sure you got fishing license and trapping license. Game warden might not believe you when your holding fishing pole in one hand, fish for bait, and trap in the other hand. You stay out of site most never know your there.

Who’s the guy on here who made an official-looking “Bridge Inspector” badge for his truck? If I recall people never looked twice at him parked at bridges.
