Does anybody here have any experience with these that they can pass on? I can find very little information on the net !?!? Specifically the 700cc 4 stroke model. Mostly concerned about long term reliability, fuel economy, but would really just like to hear someones overall experience.

I looked and rode one of these last week. It was a new model 2016 LT 3000 Bearcat. A couple of the local dealers still have brand new 2016's in there yards.

It was a nice riding, quiet sled, smooth motor. It sits on the new style Arctic cat chassis which is nice. It is the same motor Arctic Cat uses in one of their Side by sides with good results for a few years now.

Yes my dealer has a couple, I think left over 2016 models, for a very good price. I am tempted but after some digging on line I read about wiring harness problems, oil leaks, starter problems, overheating problems, cold starting issues. Now this could just be the exception where disgruntled owners voice their concerns, while the vast majority of the machines are fine. How-ever, I don't know of a single person who's actually owns one, and sure con't afford to have an unreliable machine on the trapline.

I can't speak for these models but I do run a m6 cat as my trapping snow go I am at 218 hrs with know problems beside basic stuff. Not sure of miles but estimat 4300 I broke senser will beating ice out of tunnel.Have been looking at the Norseman for next year mainly for better gas mileage . Have friends that run bear cats and they seem to like them .

Like Team V I cant speak for the Norseman, but the outfitter I work for had two of the Arctic Cat wide tracks that had a 4-stroke in them. Dont remember what they called those engines, maybe they were the same one?? Anyway they were good sleds with few problems. The outfitter is running Skandics now, but he still says those Arctic Cat 4-strokes were the best 4-strokes hes had. I ran them quite a bit and liked them.

For a reliable sled check out the new 2-stroke Bearcat....Arctic Cat and Yamaha are working together now. Its a VK540 with a cat decal on it. Listers is selling a pile of them, most going to trappers in remote areas. Their prices are good too.

Yukon I have a VK540, nothing but problems. Already blew a head and the oil injection was all out of wack. Finally getting it dialed in now. Makes lots of noise if you try to go slow in high gear. but I suppose that is what the low gear is for. The light is dim so I put a LED light pod on it and now my ignition don't work. One thing after another. Hopefully Greg Gutman has a better handle on set up then my dealer. Aside from all the problems I have had and wasted down time they are really good bush machines in snow and climbing hills. You can put her in low and walk up a 100' 80degree slope no problem. But they are tippy.

muskrat, yea I knew you had one and were having problems. Greg knows his stuff, been dealing with him and the boys at Listers for 30-years now. Just great people that have always treated me right. I know a couple of other trappers that have recently got the arctic cat version of the VK and they love them. I had an older one years ago. Yes you do need to use the hi/lo range. In low guys can just crawl through the deep stuff. I never use the oil injection on anything...ever. I always pre-mix my fuel. It was a concern when I bought my last sled from Listers, so I asked Greg about the warranty if I pre-mixed instead of relied on the injector....he told me he would be pre-mixing too so thats what I did. No guessing that way, I always know its getting the right amount of oil. Sure hope you get yours figured out!

It seems OK now aside from the ignition which is a real pain. Im going to take that light bar off for the spring so hopefully the ignition will work after that. Im going to need it in the fall so not sure what I will do then. Unless I can get more powerful bulbs.

There is a guy here who bought a AC version of the VK and he is having that same run on one problem as mine and noisey running slow in high.

Stan Zuray how is your VK holding up.

Once it works through these problems it should be a really good machine.

I know it’s not the same year but I bought a new 2013 570 WT and I have not had one issue yet. Very dependable. I have only replaced one belt and I may need new runners at 3,500 trapping and ice fishing miles

I've got the same sled, except mines a 2014.....6000 miles now and zero problems. Most of those miles have been breaking trail or pulling heavy loads. Best trapping sled I've ever had.
