Can anyone offer any advice on using paints like "Gator Glide" and "Frog Spit" on the bottom of a boat or canoe used for trapping? Does it really help get through grass, cattails and mud easier? Tips on best products and application?

Ive just read about it, but Im sold....Ive got a coleman plastic crawdad joh, and it drags WAY easyer thru the reeds than an aluminum boat due to less coefficient of friction....it makes total sense, go to mudmotors.com and search or google search will lead to some duck hunter sites that talk about the stuff

If you are considering yourself to be someone of influence and importance, just try ordering someone elses dog around sometime.

Anti friction coatings are commonly used on airboats instead of fastening UHMW plastic to the bottom of the hull. Air boating forums such as southernairboat.com might be a place for you to get some info.
