I made a dirt hole set back in Dec. and caught a red fox in it around the first of the year and pulled the trap at that point. It had been baited with chunks of beaver meat and a pea sized glob of RK predator plus. Walked by it today to take down my tree stand and found multiple fox scat from a day old to over a month old. This is after many heavy rains and snows too. The hole had been dug out all the way to the bottom and the fresh dirt showed recent digging. It really showed me how keen their smell is and that it doesn't take much bait or lure to bring them to a set. I plan on stetting the same hole this fall again.

Many sets will keep active visitations year round due to other predators visiting and leaving their scent over and over. Just what they do.

Very common, It's amazing how long they react to just one application. I go out every spring just to learn and check populations...
