FYI if it hasn’t been posted already. Pretty early to be announcing numbers

Those are just preliminary numbers, subject to change.

The reason FHA posted is because NAFA posted the numbers for their May sale.

By catch from the Canadian marten harvest.
The prices spiked at the last fha sale for the good ones, lots of trappers I spoke to at the workshop last weekend sold a good number for $7 usd(that's a fat 10 spot here).
Be interesting to see if the price holds or if it was a one off.
I have recently seen some beautiful new scarf creations from ermine, hopefully a fashon trend that catches on like the Canada Goose coat trim.

Interesting they only sold 39% of their offering must have only sold the best.

Huh. Still 3 weeks 'till the last receiving date?
Maybe that's all the FHA buy-backs from the last auction. mad

I have had a lot of requests for fur scarfs from young people.I may have to play around with a design or two and see where it goes.

If those quantities are close to accurate, this sale is not going to go well. And, FHA comes afterwards.

I'm thinking the NAFA numbers are just estimates.

The last receiving date was just a week ago. All of the goods haven't even reached Wisconsin yet.

The NAFA sale is 2 months away - a lot can change.

And if you look at the order of sale, the main wild fur items are spread out over 7 days. Buyers are all ready starting to complain. If a buyer wants to bid on all species of wild fur, he will need to spend an extra week in Toronto to be able to do that. That is an extra $1,000.00 plus he has to pay for lodging. And that is $1,000.00 less than he has to spend on wild fur.

Agreed on the problems for buyers created by spreading wild fur throughout the sale. I was told that was to keep all the buyers engaged, but that explanation did'nt make sense to me.
