Going through a group of No.3 Coils I recently got in I noticed one had a slightly different shaped pan, wider, rectangular with tight rounded corners. It reads: No. 3 / VICTOR / COIL SPRING / V / REG. US / PAT OFF. / ANIMAL TRAP CO. / LITITZ PA. / MADE IN USA.
The 'V' is not cut out, rather its stamped in like the newer traps. This one appears to have some age to it. Should it be saved out or back in with the user traps? I don't remember having any of these before, then again seems I don't remember alot of things these days.(like my camera to take a picture of it) Would appreciate a date range for it.

Hi Diggerdale, yes that's it exactly, albeit not quite as clean. I don't find a lot on them, the few I have turned up had been heavily modified. They do seem a little lean & lanky for their size.

I hope I'm right in saying those are just a newer style Victor without the stamped out V...

Back in with the user traps. Nothing special in my opinion.

I've seen solid pans one like that before.

Thanks for the information. It was in with a group of North Woods. Has an 'aged' loo to it, I guess it was just used hard & hung up wet. smile

I appreciate the information too. Reason I had a pic handy, was I just sold a dozen to a member on here and said they were the newer style.
