On my way to the marsh camera hunting early this morning, four Turkey Vultures were dining on this older roadkill. I'm surprised they didn't find it sooner.

Jonathan I really enjoy your photos but do find your subject visually unpalatable this time. In other words "ugly". Lol

From a distance! My wife had one that was trying to get away from a collision with her car, and dumped his whole load on her hood and windsheild! She went straight to the car wash, and said it stunk so bad she nearly lost it! grin Naturally I was amused, It ain't every day your car gets puked on by a turkey buzzard!

Lee I've heard they will do that as self protection . Like a skunk spraying but worse. Wonder if it would make good bait??

I mysdlf have had raccoon for breakfast a few times. Back in the late 60s a few of us used to drift a few creeks while hunting for deer. Each drift took all day to get to the next bridge. Often we would start in midday and camp overnight. On those trips it was very easy to find a coon along a snadbar after dark set in.

We would skin the coon and par boil it before battering and frying for supper. There were normanny a few pieces left for breakfast the nect morning.
