I bought a pint of Reuwsaat's fox urine and I need to know how to store it until next season.

Freeze it. No more than 3/4 full jar or you'll have a mess.

me personally id freeze it in a plastic container with plenty of head space.

I have been told by a pretty accomplished trapper that it does not matter how it is stored (warm, cold, sun, shade) if it is "good" pee.....

Sunlight in my humble opinion is more of a problem then temperature. I've kept mine in a garage that gets pretty warm in the summer, and never had an issue with quality urine. If it smells like sewage throw it out, but ammonia smell is just fine just let it dissipate.

I have always just kept mine in the garage also. In fact I still have a gallon of coyote urine I bought from O'G back in 1989. Still smells as good now as it did the day I bought it.

Keep mine in the dark, under the work bench, but never been refrigerated and in the past I've some that got 12-15 years old and still good.

The beat reason in the world for refrigerating or freezing is you think or know that it is junk not urine. It takes years of soaking in urine to get some of the lures right, would that be possible if spoilage was a problem?
If it's been room temperature for a week or two and still smells like it should then you don't need to worry and if it smells nasty after a while it was no good at the start.

I would think it pays to be a bit paranoid in making lures to freeze the urine, or at least ice pasteurize the urine to eliminate possible yeasts and bacterias present.

I store mine in a bladder until releasing it with the handy dispenser tool.

Another helpful tip - urine should be stored at approximately 98 degrees until dispensed. After that, use your discretion.

When I make scent-post sets and mock deer scrapes in the fall, the storage bladder and magnum applicator system work very well. It is important to stay well hydrated.

I've got some of the Vet's that's almost three years old, dark, and seems to get better every year. I have it stored in glass, and pop it open every once in a while just for the heck of it. It smells good enough I can't bring myself to use the last of it. I'm hoping to catch the I-80 pee train coming up soon.

It is funny how guys describe their special stash of vintage urine. Sounds like describing fine aged whisky. “A heady aroma with taste pleasing tannins and an aftertaste of apricots and mahogany.”

What is the I-80 pee train? It sounds like a leaky train. Stand along the highway and let er rip? Be careful about indecent exposure!

You guys must not use much urine If you have to be storing It.
Especially If you still have some urine left from 1989. That urine Is older then most of the members on here. LOL
