A bit morbid Gov, but productive none the less.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Seen drugs and alcohol destroy a lot of lives but the dopers are the toughest to work with they lie so much they can't tell the truth when it would benefit them. Always working some angle to keep the drugs a coming 24/7/365 the only thing that matters!

Huge problem in the USA today that gets no media coverage at all....its just ignored for the most part.
Meanwhile the US military has lots of assets in the #1 opium producing country in the world and never destroys the poppy crops.
A few years after we invaded afgan it moved to the top spot worldwide for opium export. #1.
Similar thing happened after we invaded s/e asia in the 60's.....go figure.
After nam and afgan heroin became very popular in the USA...in between those wars it was cocaine that was popular.
Must be a coincidence.....

Who would want any part of a junkys body in them. To each their own I guess. I was thinking the same. You'd think that their critical organs would be garbage.

tweed & wet,
Ask someone that's about to die, desperation (IMO) would come to mind. Reminds me of those that have been trapped cave diving - Would give anything a shot.

frequently the overdose does very little to damage the liver , kidneys and many other tissues , as I understand it the person basically suffocates because their brain tells the body not to breath. get them on ice quick and send new blood to the organs and they come back very well.
also the donors who OD are frequently young late teens and twenties is common for some it may have only been a short time they were using. so it is like a car that pulls off the car lot and gets rear ended , it has a nearly new engine and transmission even if the back is a mess.

Hepatitis, aids and a dozen other gifts you can get from a IV user I'd have to be pretty desperate, you can just see the MSM, "people allowed to die to harvest their organs!"

I think anyone on the organ donation list is Very Desperate.
when I was in High school AIDS was a death sentence. 30 years later people have lived 30 years with aids , it is really sad but people do not worry about AIDS like the should.
with no liver your don't live 30 years , you might very well find someone who would take aids and 30 years longer. although they would certainly be running a full battery of tests to avoid that on the blood the second they could draw it.

Synthetics are the new go to and are already replacing "real" opium. Afghanistan was only one part of this mess, big pharma and doctors are another aspect and now synthetic drugs from China are the next stage.
