My client has a couple of skunks she wants me to trap with live traps, what is the best bait to use ? I've been using peanut butter and only getting coon.

They will eat most anything, fishy baits, like Sardines/Jack Mac, really work well.

Make sure that you know what you are going to do with the skunks when you catch them. Sometimes the catching is the easy part.

I use my own lure for them. For bait Apple peanut butter paste works well. A 2 to 4 day taint on a package of hot dogs will motivate them as well.

I like Jack Mackerel, the smell will win them over. JMO

I'm partial to Bob's peaches and cream on a marshmallow. Trail into the trap with Cheetos.

Fish flavor, canned cat food gets it done.

Crack one egg part way open in back of live trap.

Do like I do , pretend your trying to catch something else but a skunk and sure enough you'll catch a skunk .

X2 rick aint that the truth. I just use my left over canine bait from last season. Seems to work for me.

Do you mean a cage trap?.........gota ask if you know how to move them without spraying?

When you have to use bait, little Debbie stuffed oatmeal cookies. The rest of the $1.79 box is lunch.

If you have a picky one, get KFC and save the bones.

The skunks will catch on fold over peanut butter sandwiches . Sometimes you have to clean up the coons first. Hope you are charging them for the raccoon.

I will be right over. LOL I have fun putting out trail cam's. Learn a lot. Had a raccoon lay on its side and reached in and got the food out. But I got him in the second trap anyway.
