Well put and very true.. Graw's makes alot of good stuff , his Grey Ghost is a killer, for all predators..

the Beav and wetdog speak the true...at least based on my experiences. I use a lot of brands...they all work...and probably work different based on specific environment and what the competition's using. Curiosity, food, gland...I always use accordingly - sometimes no lure at all...maybe just pee and a turd...maybe just bait. getting some history with these lures will reveal which really shine on your lines (your area and how you apply it) experimenting during early fall I believe is helpful.

The best lures formulated are only as good as the location and how it's set. When the populations are high, the greed factor kicks in and they work lures and baits with more vigor. Sometimes they are just not in the mood, stopping every passing animal is untrue.. But some lures/baits are game changers, some work better for me some for you.. Test them before season to verify the reaction where you can see tracks. Then you'll have confidence that the attractor actually works. That in itself is huge!

A quick note. Two years ago we got a straight $7 each on our scraped and dried skunks and about $15 in trade per ounce of skunk essence. If you can skin them, you’ll be more than adequately paid for your efforts and skunk scrape very easily.

If your on location and I mean right on location just about anything will work Just a fresh dug hole will work.
But the critter has to be receptive to make it work. Critters are like women you can never figure them out.

Big fan of 7 Oaks lures. I seem to catch critters everywhere I use them. Cats, yotes, beavers it doesn’t matter. Also he’s a great guy to get info from. He’s helped me from my first day trapping. I highly recommend him. Jon Shuke 7oaks lures...

The Beav and Trappergbus have hinted at it; I'll just say it: single best trapping lure you can get is Location. And the second best lure is location.

As previously mentioned if your on LOCATION most any lure will work.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.
