Has any body ran the #2 dogless 2 coiled with lamination?
I am wondering if I should just go ahead and get MTP to install beefed up springs while they are laminating them if I order. I have a stock trap on the way to check it out, but I thought I would get opinions before talking with MTP about modding the traps.
I would just buy the fully modified version but I have been advised that it may be too stout for greys.

If you don't have freezing to contend with, try 2 coil first. 4 coiled 2's can get angry. Yea I am trying to avoid 4 coiled. I just want to have enough power for the laminated jaws. Trying to find a happy medium I guess.

I use them stock and the pre modified ones from FNT, I love them both.
Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

I bought a dz last year, put J C CONNOR lams on them, used for fisher, caught fishers, possums, coons no problem really like this trap. I really don’t see a need to 4 coil them, but my .02.

I bought the fully modified took off 2 coils and are running them 2 coiled. Holds everything I catch. If they weaken I will slap the other coils back on.

After running Bridger #2s for several seasons, I honestly don't see the allure to them (past looks). Critters in the truck, Give me a Victor #2 instead...By FAR. Sold all my Bridger #2s....and glad I did.
But to each his own. Dogless, Huge pans, factory night latch, good chain and swivels its a soild trap at an affordable price... 137 dozen with lams costing 9.95 if you buy them...

Well I talked to MTP. They said I should have no issues with the 2 coiled traps being under powered with laminations. Cost 2.50 per trap extra to laminate. Now I just need to decide chain stakes or no. I am going to start another thread on that...
