Wondering what everyone thinks of using non local flavors in your bait. Thinking of trying widowmaker with persimmon, which I've never seen out this way. Opinions? Thanks.

I used that for the first time last season and had good results.

I would test it before season
Those test site's become almost a gimme come opening day

My partner uses Widowmaker here in southern Minnesota and likes it a lot

usually works well, they are curious to a new yummy odor

I’ve been using a few drops of persimmon oil in a lightly tainted meat base for the last couple of years. I made a batch with shell fish oil another with vanilla and the persimmon seems to be slightly ahead of the vanilla. Shellfish oil was a dud on coyote !

That surprises me a lot.

I’ve been told had I been using it near water I’d have had a different result!

I've had mixed results using shell fish oil strait on the lip of a hole actually it caught more foxs than yotes! lol and you can guess the coons are a steady non target using it.

Me too, since Salmon Sludge wears yotes out!

I was looking for a change up for late season and the persimmon proved to work the best .
