6' cable with light swivel snaps on each end. First a cable loop put on a spring end to snap to. I've used cable extension s like this for years no fraying.

You must check your laws First John. What do they say? Typically at 330 on a trail is not a good idea due to non-targets. We have different laws for ADC work out of season here and you may as well. Trapping season they can be half submerged here in NC but out of season ADC they must be fully submerged.

Oh yeah I can't set one on land. Could I set one with the bottom of it in the water on a slide

You'll have to read your regs. It should specify. Some states say fully submerged (no metal above the water), some say half submerged, and some say just touching water.

Many LEGAL questions can be answered by reading the Georgia trapping regulations- https://georgiawildlife.com/regulations/trapping. Additional information should be available by contacting DNR Law Enforcement- https://gadnrle.org/contact-le. There is even a link there to find your county game warden.

If you have gators in N. Georgia and do any ADC work in months other than fur trapping season, you mite want to discount this advice and be sure to attach your trap chain to something solid such as a small tree. I use re-purposed 3/32 snare cable after a catch to make extensions. I will assure you that any gator over 8 ft can make pretzel out of an H stand and swim off with it, if it or the trap isn't anchored solidly. The gator will probably die at some point whether you find it or not, and you may loose your equipment. This applies to above and below water sets in trails & channels. Have never had one work a castor mound set, yet.

Dillers don't bother much except golf courses and manicured lawns. When they are a problem, I use a 280 Conibear over all the active den holes I can find, it don't usually take long to take care of the situation.

If 330s on land ARE legal there, PLEASE be careful, last thing you or any of us need is you catching someone's deer or coon dog.
