After a much needed rain to quench the near drought conditions, with a north wind, and a temperature drop from the 90's to 60's, these species showed up.

What a spoiler. You should have seen how long till someone noticed the band

NT50, Any thoughts on the origins of the band and possible age estimate of that bird? I added a photo below of that same bird showing plumage detail, but the band is not very visible.

Flycatchers are really hard to identify when you take them out of the mist nets. The master banded that I worked with could tell by the birds figity response and the calls
As for the origins of the capture spot. Only if you can get a good pic of the band can the mystery be solved Sometimes the first 3 prefixes and the last 3 can narrow the search
I really miss the “ bird in the hand” experience
