I am having trouble getting the door up?
Feel stupid but the square peace of metal hits_ the door frame no matter how I turn or twist it.
Whats the trick,

Turn the piece so it is shaped like a square instead of a diamond. It is narrower that way. Door will move right up.

By the way, make sure the R pin is removed.

Just hold it out of the way while you raise the door. It is supposed to swing down when the door closes to keep it from being able to be opened back up. I would go outside and take a picture of mine, but I’d have to text it to ya cause I can’t post pics on here.

It should be swinging down and look like a diamond when the door is closed. Just pull it out toward the front of the trap and hold it out of the way. It will now look square like Willy said if you look at the trap from the side. (That was a pretty good way to explain it Willy)

It’s supposed to swing back down when the door closes so it can’t be opened back up. It will just hang there when the door is up and slide out of the way when the door closes.

I went out in the garage and tried, the metal peace the only way is to turn it toward me with me facing the trap.
Keeping it square with movement left or right is impossible the door hits the metal peace moving it right or left you have to twist it outward which puts it in a diamond shape?
On the door it looks like in the spot were the metal peace is to clear it looks like it was ground down in the one spot so it will clear but it is hitting just enough that it will not allow the metal peace to clear. I feel stupid
I tried looking for You tube videos but couldn't find any and checked the Snare shop website

There is contents inside when I bought the trap I ordered a couple small things and feel like they had to get the door up to place the things in there.

Just barely pull it towards you so it is not hanging in the way of the door, but instead, the edge is parallel with the frame that the door is sliding in and you will have to hold it out of the way while you slide the door up. It is just supposed to swing back into position when the door closes again. That door just sits on top of the tube in the track and the rod pushes it off the top of the tube when something steps on the pan.
