otterman OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,741 SW Alaska	One of my duties that I have been assigned this fall is to clean out some of the excess some of that includes some moose antlers some sheds and some with skull plate removed trying to find out what the going rate is for them I know they usually are by the pound anyone know what a guy can get ? I plan to try and sell locally first as shipping some of these would be a PIA and very costly We get out of life only as much as we really want and work hard enough to achieve

Load up a truck load and come on down for a visit!!! LOL www.usedtraps.com Please check out my updated inventory of Native American books.

The moose antler market has been depressed since this spring. Prices have dropped and there seems to be a real push back from the industry currently. At least one of the main buyers in the state is not buying currently and others have dropped their prices. I would say for good sheds right now you would be lucky to get $7 to $8 in Anchorage or Fairbanks if you can find a buyer. Might want to hold onto them for right now until things get sorted out. I will be buying again in Sept. I have not finalized prices yet until I hear more. If you need to sell get a hold of me. You should be able to take advantage of backhaul rates out of Dillingham. It is the best way to go.
