I stumbled across this the other day when I was first trying to identify this bush and secondly to see if it's prolific berry crop was edible...
Got a couple bushes that popped up on the farm and had never seen them before.

Yep it is a fact and a problem. Picked up a few moose in Anchorage that died in peoples yards, cause determined by the wildlife troopers, chokecherries.
