Better hit the ER just to be safe. If I'm not mistaken that shot's only good for 3 years, but I may be wrong. I'd go to the ER regardless.

Yep Id get to the ER, better to be safe than sorry. Lots of different kinds of bacteria to worry about from a bite like that!

Rabies isn't the only concern. Consider that it's a scavenger... that bite is pretty septic.

Now that its over. I can laugh about it. Here is story. Pulled up to BIG male coyote. Could see another coyote in trap about 200 yards yp the hill in anothet set. Got out. Did not see it was hind foot catch Walked up to catch circle. Slipped Fell down on my back. First reaction was to cover my Junk with both hands He bite me twice. I think on right inner thigh. Bout 6 inch from my Junk. Then i punched him with my right hand. Left hand still firmly covering my Junk. And i kick him also i think All happen VERY fast. Coyote try to turn me in to a MRS. fron a MR. 😁 Never a dull day on the line for me

Thanks guys. Wish i was smart enough to be able to post a pic of bite. Its turn purple and a little blue. BUT no ozzing or infection. So far. Land Manager of Company i am working for. Was nice enough. To see me a Summer intern. That works for them. He is opening all locked gates for me so i dont have to limp around. And open and close them

Oh geez, you're going to milk this for all it's worth aren't you? laugh

While you're at it you should also ask for a guy to ride along with you to check your traps while you sit in the truck. laugh

Rub some on it and get back to work. lol

Personally, I'd wash it out good and go about my day.

k9s do infect a lot so I'd watch it (and keep it clean of course)

Your rabies shots are likely good for a lifetime.

No need to freak out, IMO.

Dang ST, I hope you heal up ok. I know a dog bite hurts and a yote bite can't be any different. Good luck with it.

Pretty good percentage. I've been there before lol.. had a cat last year burried in Johnson grass on a drag that managed to claw and bite my bibs and muck Boot after I had fallen back in a wash pulling the drag out of the mess. Turns out I have cat reflexes when being preyed upon! Thankfully claws nor teeth made it through my jeans. Battle scars on bibs tho shocked
