I always liked the trigger wires on the bottom, spread into a V and bent in at around a 45* angle, or with the trigger wires pushed all the way to one side and straight down, with the smaller traps. Coni pans work well, too. With all the body grip regs we have here in NY, I use very few bigger than 120's/150's on land and run mostly foot holds these days.

Depending on the area and size of the coon in your state, get the wires completely out of the way on a 160. Just inside the jaws or you'll be giving the big ones a headache only. Some guys cut the triggers completely off but for about and inch of wire.

I like one wire strait down, the other bent out 90 degrees with the last 2" or so bent down toward the ground. I slide the trigger to the side where the strait wire is.

I leave them as "V" shape but move them over to side just a little bit. We pick up a mink onced and awhile in our blind trail sets along weedy creeks. Once awhile we get a fox too. Even biggest coon get it right behind the ears every time. In tight weedy trails they will squeeze right through and get nailed before they even realize what happened. My favorite body gripper for coon here.

Mine are set for mink w/ a circle shaped trigger. I stick to 220 sized traps for just coon.

For trails I generally set them on the far side of the top jaws with one wire straight down and they other straight out.
