This is the only way that I know for sure, that works.


It also doesn't take that much.About 1-2 oz per gallon of water will do it.

Dig a shallow hole in a good spot and bury it. Bed a trap in front of it, or on opposite sides and let it work for you while It's de scenting.

Boil in tannin... tree bark, or sumac berries or leaves. Use lots of material, make a strong solution.works for me.


Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Thank you all. I'm going to try the tannin now and if it doesn't work I'll just leave it unwaxed and hope I can catch with it.

I don't remember if it has already been mentioned, but you could always wax the single trap in a small separate container, or just use it on the water line for a while.

If all else fails trap a coon in the trap they'll get it all cleaned up.. whistle

Get it sand blasted,the muck in the ditch will work also.Bury it for two weeks.
