I've seen on packaging of cover scent that it should be kept from freezing. Is it ok to freeze bait or lure with skunk in it? The furnace is in my workshop, so I'd like to keep the stuff from permeating the house. Thanks.

It should be fine,as long as it has anti freeze in it,so that it doesn't expand and break a jar.The amounts of skunk in lures and baits is small by volume. You can put some in a smaller jar, inside a baggie do a freeze test.

Good lure or skunk essence won't freeze.

Bait's a different story of course.

Your freezer may always smell like skunk. Store it in a good canning jar inside a paint can- you can buy one at Lowe's, put the jar in the can and place cat litter around it and seal the can, keep in a cooler spot out of the sun. It will keep forever. Use a canning or other glass jar. no plastic!
