I have an opportunity to obtain what looks to be about 15 or so pounds of dried fish meal . I think they were feeding it to chickens and pigs . Its dry and doesn't look like its moldy or spoiled . How could this be used as a bait on the trapline ? What would you mix with it and what would you use it for besides coon ?

Mix it with something sweet ( cool aid, anis, or chocolate syrup) for coon. Mix in some bacon grease for K 9’s or vanilla for both coon and k9’s .

I have gotten baits that just appear to be fishmeal mixed with glycerine. Might make a good mink/coon bait.
Like golf ball said, everything likes bacon grease. Sounds like you have enough to try it a couple of different ways and see what works.

Thank you for the ideas . I figured coon would like it but wasn't sure about K 9s . I'll try mixing it into a paste consistency with something sweet and bacon grease or used cooking oil in two separate batches . I'd like to make it freeze proof . Would glycerine be a good idea ?
