What's one new lure or bait you are going to try this year?
I want to try Mr. Derrick's 1080. Wish I trapped enough and had enough $ to try alot more.

I got some of Weisers Horse Meat predator bait to try this year. Heard a lot of good things about it.
Also gonna try some of Mark June's "Predator Frenzy". Love his "Fox Frenzy", so this should be good also.

I had an order some in from Mr. Wayne recently... It was cat call, cat gland, and yote gland. I haven't used any of his stuff yet and am ready to.
I also made 2 gallons of bait with some of Jamesons Maxx force bait solution, one beaver and one cat.

I have some Woodchipper, and damage stopper for beaver that I need to try out.

I'm trying dunlops hellfire for fist time this year.
When the package arrived (I ordered a bunch of other lures from various makers) I had to crack that one open to see if he was able to put skunk in a bottle properly.
He did.
Then I had to put it in a sealed container (jar.with lid) inside of another sealed container..(.223 SAW ammo can) to keep my garage pristine enough for my wife to walk through without noticing
I think it will work well mixwd with rotted fish on something absorbant placed in cutoff 2 liter bottles and hung up in nearby trees to waft down the prevailing air currents as a long distance call.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I will be giving Wayne a call soon to try a couple of his lures. Also decided to try Jameson's baits this year, Shooter and xxx matrix bait.

I'm sure I'll pick up a few more

.......add weiser and Graham to the list as well

I like adding something new each season to give it a try. Looking like I'm gonna give night owl brush fire a go. Take a big swig of it and go..

If it can only be one. I’m trying Lenon’s skunk and opossum super all call lure. I catch enough by accident I figured I would lean into it and try to catch some on purpose. Maybe I will be able to keep them out of my fox sets.

I also purchased nine or ten other lures to try from a couple of different folks.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Gordon Ramsey, maybe…

Giving Dunlaps Otter lure a try this year. Got a permission that looks promising.

Anything you get from Wayne will be top notch. I have not personally used the 1080, but have heard very positive results, as well as from the rocky mountain cat call. Got some pecos valley from him a few years ago and it performed very well. Weiser's horse meat bait is top notch, especially if you have a good cold winter. That aroma will carry very well. I recently purchased some Hawbaker's lures that were labeled as collector/antique/original, cannot remember how. Anyway, received them in the mail and all bottles still had a wax seal on the underside of the cap. Have talked to a few oldtime trappers around here and it sounds like I have some good stuff, will have to look at them for the names. This one is not new to me but John Graham's Deception has worked well for me. Happy trapping

I never cracked the seal. It's sitting inside a plastic food grade container with lid, inside a cat litter bucket with lid. House still reeks of skunk. Dumped baking soda into the litter bucket for time being. That stuff is hot.
