I remember wire mink stretchers in the late 60's and maybe into the early 70's. They sure didn't allow for a very attractive fur put-up.

THats what I am planning to do got them when I bought out a guy and never seen anyone use em thought maybe someone was I might just pass em on

Don’t toss them you can cut them up and make lamanations out of he wire lots of oth r uses as well

I knew a guy, he's gone now, who told me he used wire for marten. He would take about the bottom 10 in. of a wood stretcher, cut the bottom off a wire rat stretcher, bend the wire in to the shape he wanted. Drill 2 holes in the wooden part and inset the wire into the holes. This produced a half wood, half wire stretcher. You could pin to the wood. You could also squeeze the wire, to some extent, to get more length on the marten skin. He caught and sold a lot of marten and was a very serious trapper. I used this method 1 or 2 years when I had marten to stretch and sell and was fairly satisfied with it.

I plan to do the same or similar for Lynx using old rat stretchers.
I wouldn't throw the wire mink stretchers away but I don't think I'd use them on mink either.

If someone wants to pay the postage to get them they can have them otherwise I will be getting rid of them
