What are everyone's thoughts about bottleneck shaped coyote stretchers? Saw them on this video by 5911ryan:

I've never seen them used before, judging by his auction videos he does pretty well with them, I'm in the US however and have never seen them before down here.

I just watched Ryan's video. I listen. It appears he makes his own boards. And is giving watchers measurements to make their own boards. Even states he cuts worn out leather gloves for hinge on split boards.

I use bottleneck Coyote boards. Not sure where I got them. Maybe from a northern Pa. board maker that has since passed away. or maybe from someone (forget his name) out of state. I purchased these when Coyotes show up in my area 40 years ago. I was using bottleneck Fox boards at the time, so never gave a thought buying bottleneck boards for Coyotes.

Well a change to the face area Isn't going to make or break your coyote grade.

There are some benefits to the bottle shape. If the face on the stretcher is to wide it can be difficult to get the pelt to slid down on the stretcher.
I've seen it where the shoulder is tight but up near the face it is slack . This is usually caused by the board being to large through the neck the pelt can't slide on probably.
Does it matter on the grade no but we all like to do the best we can with the fur we harvest.

Then your boards must be to wide. Just saying .
I have 10 boards 8 are regular nosed and 2 are bottle nosed. I never have any problems getting a coyote on any of them.
They are made to NAFA specs. But to be truth full about 80% of our coyotes aren't worth putting up. But I'm a professional and I do the best job I can on all my fur.

Pat Stefanek makes nice ones! He is out of Michigan and goes to most NTAs. I think he has an ad in TPC magazine too.

I think the skinny face makes the semi’s look way better. May not foool anyone, but who knows

I made mine using Ryan's measurements given on his video. They turned out great.
