Tonight, we had a couple of steaks on the grill and made a side with a few garden items we just rescued before our first big frost. Grilled slices of eggplant, brushed with olive oil and topped with garden thyme, rosemary, tomato slices and basil and a slice of fresh mozzarella. Home from Marshfield, home from Canada, home from Iowa and nice to be here for a little while before the next business trip. Aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! What's going on out there tonight? I hope there's good stuff on your Trapperman tables! Let me know! Patrice

Yum! Looks good as usual.
We had a lamb roast, with roasted carrots and butternut squash.
Only thing we bought was the butter, salt and pepper.
Love those kinda meals!

I baked a MoorGold squash, and am stir frying up some pork to go with it, and one big sliced tomato for a appetizer.

Grilling some chicken to top off a Ceaser salad, and some home made muffins. I make darn good muffins you know.

Thanks, Huntrap! And great job! Those kind of meals sure are rewarding!
Fine meal, Squacks! Goat cheese from your own goat. That's a perfect touch!
Wow, Les! Another wonderful supper!
I believe you, Osky! I can almost smell them baking from here! Nice! All sounds good.
Nice presentation, Adam! Nice plate too, by the way! Thanks for the photo!
Now there's a comfort food meal, TrapperDR. We love squirrel stew around here.
Thank you, Gary! All of our best to you and yours as well!

Thanks Patrice. How's this for brunch? Waffle with homemade triple berry compote (sauce). I know I should be staying away from carbs but needed something quick

Sounds wonderful, Big Joe! Adam, I am still laughing that a homemade waffle with homemade triple berry compote is something quick!

Patrice the waffle was from the box. The compote was homemade. 10 minute boil 5 minute simmer. While the compote was cooking I made the mix let it rest while the compote boiled. I guess more like easy is a better description. How was your pasta?

Too funny, Adam! That little edge missing from the waffle made it look homemade. The compote more than made up for it! I did make the spaghetti but then used garden tomatoes, basil and garlic in a sauce and it was great. (BAD Patrice. BAD!) Congrats on your bear, Brian! Great stuff! There probably is a way to post but I am not familiar - otherwise you know I would be happy to help out. If you're interested, I have a beautiful corned game recipe that I used on a bunch of my bear meat and it was really nice!
