Well I am running a mix of river and land all at the same time. So I think the log book will help.

And in 20 years you can read it and it will be just like looking at old photos.

Anyone use APPs, specifically the 'iGoTrapping' app.
It marks your trap location and once you set up your inventory and baits it's very quicksand easy to just click what' baits lures you've used for specific sets.
It also logs your catch rate for every set so you can analyze what works where.

tbn ...you think the long liners that catch 20-30 coyotes or 50 coon a day etc.
Keep logs and notes ?
I don’t think so...same set ,same bait I think....work like life depends on it.
Their notes and log books are stored in their brain .

Small loose leaf notebook. Write location, #traps, #snares. A page for each stop. Location notation may include a GPS placemark number. I keep locations in checking sequence by inserting and removing pages as I add and remove sets. Saves time when snow falls also avoids forgetting a set. If you flag stops you are increasing likelihood of theft.

I guess I was wrong. I can't keep track of 10 dozen canine sets,100 220 boxes and 100 plus or minus snares each year. Good Luck.
