Got some Jake Traps on a Trade and they are a Beast to set. Without having to buy the $78 EZ Trap setter, is there an easier way to set these by hand?

Dave’s One Hand Setters work really well. I bought a pair. I ended up giving them away. I find that I just don’t need them. I don’t get it. I’m 54 and about 5’05’. I don’t have trouble setting anything that I use. I’m sure I’ll eventually get there.

Trap on ground, one hand on each lever and push and try not to get both thumbs stuck in it. Again

I need your Grit. I'm 52 and just can't do it. Have hand my hands caught in some Big Traps and these Jakes are by far the Strongest Trap I have ever touched. Thanks for your Feedback and also everyone else's Feedback!!!

Thanks Jayme!!! That was a Big Help. And I did try my Purse and it Broke and I had change and Perfume all over the Place. Lol!!! blush

Not a problem for me. Mine turns into an inny when setting large, strong traps.

One hand setters. I have gone to 650’s and some jakes exclusively and I keep the setters on my belt. Couldn’t be easier.

I Will have some NEW Setters for the NO-BS KO WOLF X-Treme Trap SOON.


These setters on the K9 X-Treme will work on the Jake Trap and MB750
