Hi guys.

Do you cover your cages that are baited? Top, partial top, sides, partial sides? What do you use and how do you attach it?

I have been thinking about this in reference to keeping rain off of bait like in the other recent post. Also have been thinking of keeping sun off of animals in hot weather. Wondering if you have found that animals react differently or negatively. How does it affect cleanup?

As of now, I have none covered. I have aluminum coil stock in rolls that I use for exclusion and other projects. 24” wide. It could be cut into strips / panels of the appropriate size, drilled, and fastened with sturdy zip ties. To cut this stuff I have a scissor / shear type cutter that goes into a cordless drill and cuts cleanly and very fast - a truly amazing tool.

Good idea or a glorious waste of precious time?

Thanks and best wishes

I usually put some grassy/leafy debris atop the back ~1/3 of the cage.

Old political signs work well and don't cost much this time of year.
