ive never saw were one left the other behind in results. Whole mice in a ziplock a day in the winter sun give a good loud odor. They work well in the pipe dream set too

I will be targeting Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, and weasel. I don't figure mice in any form to be all that great for cat sets do to lack of size appeal, but the other three should like mice on a much smaller presentation. I have never used mice on any kind of scale to see how it holds up to other baits. Do you guys think I should just use them up in my weasel boxes this year, as another option to liver? If I use them in these boxes, would it be better to shred them up a bit to add more smell, or just toss a mouse in the back and add lure? Thanks

I'm liking TONY.F's methods! I used whole mice regularly last season on my S.E. PA. K9 line and did well with it. I use Bob Jamison's Mouse Bait to - it also works for me. I typically smear some sort of gland lure on the lip of the DH but rely on the mouse for the main attractor. always gang set with the mouse set down wind from louder smells - always on good location - they will find the mouse.

Thanks zimmer it usually cuts the wait time down doing it that way I like setting up wind of travel corridors. I think mice are similar to us and a candy bar a quick easy snack

A mouse paste bait is my go to bait early in the year. I use from R & M, it's sweet smelling and not so loud. Doesn't attract tons of skunks and the coyote will dig trenches to try and get it out of the hole. Later on in the year I have better luck with bobcat or some loud Hiawatha valley.

Thank you guys for the replies, I sure appreciate them!

joepennanti... Heck of a nice reply there! As far as I have witnessed, you are correct, we have Long tailed and Leasts. Yes, we are in the edge of the Bakken, but very little oil activity happening on the MT side. I live on the Daniels and Sheridan county line. Williston, ND is our main town to get supplies and Sidney, MT at times too. They are both about 120 miles from here. Supplies get expensive out here! Thanky for the great info, will be trying it out. Joel
