I'm looking for your opinions on a variable scope for my muzzleloader for next fall? I won't be shooting past 75 yards. Thanks for the help. Sarge

Nikon 3x9x40 BDC is a great option. Just practice with the BDC at the range and tape a cheet sheet to the butstock of your gun.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness

I use a Nikon 30 with the bdc 200 reticle, really nice combo with my CVA muzzleloader X2. Really nice scope for the money.

nikon or Vortex 2-7x32
for muzzle laoders , for shotguns , for any rifle you won't be shooting past 300-400 yards
had one on my MZLDR have 2 on slug guns have 1 on an AR with plans to get 2 more for ARs dad has one on His AR after trying mine.
you could shoot past 3-4 hundred people shoot to 600 with a 1-6 a 2-7 should do the same.
light weight , compact , good light transmission , shot several running deer at 2X from 15-50 yards you can focus on stuff 5 feet away
only other thing is make sure your cheek weld lines up so that you shoulder the gun with your eyes closed your perfectly looking through the scope when you open your eyes , that speeds up the running shots
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

If you will be shooting at 75 yards, you need a scope which is parallax free at or near 75 yards. Most scopes which are marketed as "shotgun" or "Muzzleloader" are parallax free at or around 75 yards. If you use a standard 3-9 power scope designed for high powered rifles, the parallax free yardage is more like 150 yards. Why does it matter? If you look through a standard 3-9 power scope which is set up for being parallax free at 150 yards at a target set at 75 yards and your pupil is not centered in the eyepiece, you will miss the bullseye. With a scope which is designed to be parallax free at the yardage which you are shooting, you do not need to have your pupil in the center of the eyepiece to hit the bullseye. Really? At 75 yards pallalax is a Non Issue!

Cheap and good! 2 of mine are the prostaff great glass for the dollar the others vortex same price I like vortex bdc hash retical better than the nicon bdc but only 1 is a BDC the rest are plane cross hairs, and I can drive to Vortex HQ in 45 minutes.

Leupold Vari-X-II 3x9x40 for just about every long gun here, except a couple of 1x4X20's and a 3.5x10x50...
