Back to why not every one uses them. Simply their just not for everyone . Try are bulkier and heavier than just rebar. Pound in that 30" stake in hard or frozen ground is gonna suck regardless. You have to add more chain so that's more $$$ and more weight who h again really sucks espicay if your walking. And they are a pain even if your on a four wheeler becuse you gotta strap em down and such.

But that being said if your in a lot of rain they work great. To protect your bait and lure. These WILL NOT be a cure all for everything and everyone how ever

I Don't expect it to be a end all cure all! I have a few propertys my window of oppertunity is short. Im hoping a few of these will transform those spots into a viable opertunity! I still plan on using all the other tried and proven methods. Im not trying to talk anyone into using them im trying to decide if its worth doing.

There is added cost and weight with the extra chain length. However the weight between cross staking 2 18" rebar vs one portable pocket is a draw in my book. They also pull easier in winter compared to rebar....think about it, rebar has ribs on it. Or compare ringshank nails vs smooth nails, the ribs increase surface area or resistance. I pulled mine out of the ground in last January by hand, in WI. I've had to work a lot harder pulling cross staked rebar, also your pulling one vs two. Nothing is 100%, but overall I think the system has more pro's than con's.

Tony, when you throw in a couple portable pockets...throw in a few pipe dreams at the same time. See which one of the two you feel better about.

This year, all my stuff is coming from holes, not flats and T-Bones. I know it's different EVERYWHERE, but I wish I would have pounded in more pipes.

Last year the flats worked better.

Any time I try out new things theres always a back up set close by! I've never been one that fears change! I've tried the pipe dream set to its fullest. Not a set for me but lots of guys do well with it congrats to them. It only takes one person to tweak a few things and make something not so great into a thing of consideration! A lot of times it a simple brainless modification that changes the hole game! Then people act like they hung the moon.
