It’s amazing as the crop of mast prior were increasing every year. Last year giant acorns everywhere! You figure the decline would would be incremental as was the increase. This year not a one. How bout by you?

I believe oaks make acorns on a 2 or three year cycle. The last two years my burr oak didn't make any, this year it's made more than the squirrels can handle.

Whites real heavy, one tipped over. Pins had a few, and that's about it here.
Chestnuts a lot more than last year, but buggy.

Pin Oaks are good, as well as black oaks and white oaks.
Walnuts are down here.

I wish there were an easy way to harvest acorns. The yard here was loaded with them this year.

We have tons. I've been taking them up by the pasture and feeding the pig by the shovel full! She loves em

None here this year. We hunt large stands of oaks and it's hard pressed to find a fresh cap anywhere near them. It's not been the best hunting this season having to find the deer not the food.

They are like marbles on the ground everywhere here. You gotta be careful where you walk or you’re gonna fall.

Basically zero acorns here in my neck of the corn fields. Just our down cycle year I guess. I collect them whenever I can. I'll try to germinate a hundred or so for planting on the property, the other billion go into a wildlife mix I use in the winter to help the local wildlife on the property. They get mixed with corn, soybeans, clover, alfalfa and minerals.
To collect them "fairly easily" I use a gas powered power broom, which sweeps them into piled rows. Followed by a snow shovel or even a shop vac IF I want to get most all of them cleaned up. Doesn't take long to fill a John Deere Gator bed full. There's some years I have no choice but to clean them up. My yard would impossible/painful to use otherwise. Neighbors drive by real slow when they see my vacuuming the lawn LOL
