So I have some conibears set out on a canal. Today I found the first of this year tripped pulled out and folded up on the ground. What fun. Who else has had their traps found? I guess I didn't conceal it well enough.

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

At least it wasn't stolen!

Set a trail cam up to watch your trap line.

That's illegal in many states. Try to get them. Only ever had traps messed with once. I left a note in a zip lock bag informing them " smile you are on camera, it's illegal to disturb these traps and the DNR has been notified". No more problems

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

I know that it’s illegal to interfere with legally set traps here. That said it’s never been a problem for me in Montana but I trap mostly private land

I always put out 2 cameras. A decoy and a working one. I have gotten pictures of people stealing the decoy that didn't even work but it was in plain sight. I have more trouble with bird hunters and thier dogs. If the dog finds a trap it ends up gone and they think it's ok. Local DNR have explained it to 2 of them in my area and I think they spread the word. Now my stuff gets left at least.

Wish I had more time to trap....

This one got left. It's in the city just trapping muskrat. If I had cameras I would set them out. But I had it there undisturbed as a blind cubby until I set carrot out. Orange on mud must have caught some self righteous jogger. Muskrat are a real problem in Salt lake so are the dumb animal lovers. I'm just trying keep the canal intact people.

So far I've had a coon taken from a dp, had another dp close by tripped but both left on ground. There was fresh blood & typical catch circle on the one. I check at 430am, set after dark as well. Last year had a few drowning sets pulled & coiled up in a pile. Public land
