Most of you know I'm a Marine and move every 3 years. Every time I move I have to order 1,000 new tags to match a trapping number or address. It's not so expensive but it's time consuming.

Been laying here thinking about doing it again. I'll be moving for the last time in 25 years.

I've ordered all kinds of tags from people over the years. Square ends, round ends, brass, copper, etc. I always end up liking the stamped and round edged tags.

This will be my 15th move in 24 years, 8 months, and 6 days. Lol. I love doing it....and don't want to stop. But the trap tag thing. Lol.

One of the tag makers that I use has the squared ends, but he can get more letters on a line. I put mine and my sons name on the tags and having a nice Italian last name, I need all the room I can get. I am like you though, I like the rounded edges better. WV just changed the law this year and we only have to have our DNR number on our tags now. I will be able to order the rounded edge tags again.

Lol. I remember him talking about moving to the augusta area. Didn't know if he ever made the move or not. I've been back up in Great Falls a little over a year. Kind of miss Wyoming and cat trapping but the job is good.

awesome! My brother and I lived in Simms for a season. Wife is from fairfield. Running some coyote traps out that direction this year.Not many tho. When prices were decent we would put in for freezeout lake for muskrats. This was a good area to grow up in. By the way my brother, the one I trapped with, was in the marines 76-79. This was back when you could drop out of high school and join the military. It definitely did him some good. Anyway, good to hear. I think you will like the area, beautiful country!

made 100 out of dog tags 25 yrs ago. They made a unique sound when I had a critter. Was a neat sound in the darkness. Moved many a time myself in 20 yrs. But didn't trap in some of the states. Wish I would have started a collection like that though. I have about 10 different ones come to think of it. "SEMPER FI" (Still have the hat you gave me a few yrs ago)

Get that area scouted out , we want to come up that way and jet boat for beaver and speed goats. Will probably end up more on the Missouri though. Will look forward seeing you around more often!
