Got some rain and a couple of dirt holes are filled to the top with water. Trap is bedded in waxed dirt so it's fine. What should I do ? try to remove the water and rebait ? Leave as is and risk iceing up ? Relocate set ? -Thanks

I leave the water in the hole. I add different backing(ex. wrist size log) and put different lure under it, slightly off the ground. Under backing but off the gound.

take a long rebar and drive it in the hole, wallow it around, and pull it out. water should go down deeper into the new hole you made and then you can rebait or lure or whatever

^^^drains them everytime almost immediately and helps have a place for water to go next time it rains. Could throw a rock over the dirthole, lure the bottom of it to basically flat set until weather gets better?

that's were oily liquid baits shine they make a oil slick on top of the water. It dilutes the smell strength but still holds enough to make a catch

I agree with Tony F. turn it into a "JT Slick Up Set" with an oil base attractant. You might enjoy the results and it would not hurt to think out of the box.
