Is it necessary to boil snare supports?
If so is it for the removal of the shine, or smell or both?

Thanks
Ken

If they are super greasy like ones from fnt, I degreased then spray painted flat tan, makes them darn near invisible in a trail.

Mine are made of rebar and wire, and they have rust on them. Rust is not foreign to the coyotes up here, so I don't do more than let the weather from year to year.

If I have excess oil on my support wires,I my degrease with Super Clean and let rust but otherwise I don't.I do spray paint some for areas where the dead grass is very light colored, almost white looking at twighlight.

Same here as most coyotes are used to wire fencing and old machienry so rust has never been a big concern for me. I still decrease them but let them rust outside before using them.
