Is there a trappers cap that works for k9 extremes and juniors.

Don't know. But you could make your own out of a can or a plastic bottle.

If you get rainy weather, I would recommend just sticking with pan covers. A Trappers cap is nice if you are trapping in dry weather. I used one for a season, and had some traps that you really had to step on even with your own foot to set off after a day or two of rain. If you are good at bedding a trap, I don’t really think it’s necessary to get the dirt packed too tight inside the jaws though. I use peat moss and I just bed the trap, and toss the peat over top of it. I don’t pack at all inside the jaws, and I don’t have any problems with diggers or traps being exposed around here. Like Beav said though, you could always make your own. I would try to make it from an aluminum can so you don’t have that gap around the pan when you remove the cap.

My buddy made a nice one for my #2 Bridger dogless out of a metal electrical work box. A little welding, a little grinder work.....fits perfect.

Even though I used a cap I still placed some poly under the pan.

If you are using peat, just cut a small trap bed, bed the trap tight, and cover it up. No need to pack between the jaws. Use your extra time to make more sets.

Well you can't pack peat. Trying to get a trap bedded solid In peat Is a losing proposition.
Do the nail thing and your problem Is solved.
