A neighbor down the street put his old, white "Christmas tree" to the curb for the garbage truck yesterday. I picked it up to recycle as a winter perch by the brush piles in my yard where I photograph birds. I dressed it up with a highbush cranberry branch. Jonathan

Very interesting and great idea.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Just don't put an artificial bird in it Jonathan A long passed friend had a box outside his window to feed the birds but if one moved inside they would all scatter. He carved and painted a couple English sparrows and placed them inside that window. After that as long as you didn't make a fast or noisy event the feeding birds usually didn't fly off.
Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination.
